For necessary expenses of the Office of the Inspector General in carrying out the provisions of the Inspector General Act of 1978, $29,000,000. TITLE II—RELATED AGENCIES ARCHITECTURAL AND TRANSPORTATION BARRIERS COMPLIANCE BOARD SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For expenses necessary for the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board, as authorized by section 502 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, $1,891,000. NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION SAFETY BOARD SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessary expenses of the National Transportation Safety Board, including hire of passenger motor vehicles and aircraft; services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, but at rates for individuals not to exceed the per diem rate equivalent to the rate for a GS-18; uniforms, or allowances therefor, as authorized by law (5 U.S.C. 5901-5902), $25,360,000, of which not to exceed $500 may be used for official reception and representation expenses. INTERSTATE COMMERCE COMMISSION SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessary expenses of the Interstate Commerce Commission, including services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109, and not to exceed $1,500 for official reception and representation expenses, $43,115,000: Provided, That joint board members and cooperating State commissioners may use Government transportation requests when traveling in connection with their official duties as such. PAYMENTS FOR DIRECTED RAIL SERVICE (LIMITATION ON OBLIGATIONS)

None of the funds provided in this Act shall be available for the execution of programs the obligations for which can reasonably be expected to exceed $475,000 for directed rail service authorized under 49 U.S.C. 11125 or any other Act.
