Res. 44] TROOPS IN PERSIAN GULF Whereas the people of the United States strongly support the nearly 500,000 United States troops stationed in the Persian Gulf region; Whereas keeping troop morale high is an indispensible key to victory; and Whereas the American flag is a patriotic symbol of both the United States and the values of its people: Now, therefore, be it Resolved by the House of Representatives (the Senate concurring), That the Congress calls on the people of the United States to display the American flag in show of support for the United States troops stationed in the Persian Gulf region.
