Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Resentattves of the United _ States ofAmem'ca in Cbngress assembled, mt upon the conditions M?,°u}‘,w,,$,'$0‘§§,{S§§ herein named the Central Arizona Railway Company, a corporation *{,‘;*gt·Qa*}=°g¤;·iz0n8 existing under the laws of the Territory of Arizona, is hereby granted m11w _ company a right of way, conformably to the Act entitled "An Act granting to §‘§§,,gh_"gh° °f “"" railroads a right of way through the public lands of the United States," V°l·18·P·482· approved March third, eighteen hundred and seventy-five, and the existing regulations adopted thereunder, over and through the San Francisco Mountains Forest Reserve, in the Territory of Arizona, for _ a line of railroad from a point at or near F lagstaif, in the county of L°°“"‘°“· Coconino, Territory of Arizona, in a southwesterly direction by the most practicable route to the town of Jerome, in the county of Yavapai, Territory of Arizona, and thence in a southeasterly direction to the town of Globe, in the county of Gila, Territory of Arizona, with the right to construct and maintain all necessary side tracks, extensions, switches, spurs, and water stations: Pr0·v¢Sded, That as a condition to gooyxion t . . . . . o forest obtaining such right of way the said company shall be required to reserve. agree, in writing, to conform to such furt er regulations as may be prescribed by the Secretary of the Interior for the purpose of protecting the said forest reserve and conserving the pupposes for w ich the reserve was established and is maintaine ; but said company shall . not be authorized to take or cut any timber within the limits of said forest reserve outside of its said right of way.
