_ Be it enacted by the Senate and House o Re sentatives of the § giiiigcciiiiuiiii United States eg America in Congress asser£bled:T'l`hat the claim of ,,,,,,,,,‘L‘,,,,,°‘{1‘§,’§]’§,‘t,-;Et’ the Link-Belt om(pany, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a corpora- °°¤*’°· tion organized un er the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, for damages alleged to have been sustained by a certain coal chute under construction by said Link-Belt Company for the Norfolk and Western Railroad on its coal pier numbered three at Lamberts Point, in the city of Norfolk, Virginia, by reason of collision therewith by the United States Steamship Buitenzorg on the lst day of March, 1919, ma be submitted to the United tates District ourt for the I , M H Mmm Eastern District of Virginia at Norfolk, imder and incomplianee ' with the rules of said court, sitting as a court of admiralty; and that the said court shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine the whole controversy and to enter a judgment or decree for the amount of the legal damages sustained by reason of said collision, if any shall be found to be due either for or against the United States, upon the same rinciple and, measure of liability, with costs, as in like cases in ad}miralt between private parties, with the same rights of iiZiig°°i¤ Attorney appeal: Provide}; That such notice of the suit shall be given to the °°°°“‘· Attorney General of the United States as may be provided by order of the said court, and it shall be the duty of the Attorney General to cmmmmm 0, cause the United States attorney in such district to appear and desuit. fend for the United States: Provided further, That said suit shall be broulghtgnd commenced within four months of the date of the passage of t is ct.
