as it furnishes such services to other properties and to inhabitants of the town of Glendo; (e) agreed to accept such streets and alleys (including rightsof-way therefor) as are constructed by the United States on said land and dedicated by the United States to public purposes and to maintain and keep said streets and alleys in good and serviceable condition without cost to the United States. Necessary streets and alleys constructed by the United States on said land will be of type and quality comparable to existing streets and alleys within the present limits of the town of Glendo; (f) installed or agreed to install street lights on the streets and alleys constructed by the United States on said land and agreed to maintain said lights and to furnish the electricity necessary for their operation, such installation, maintenance, and electric service to be furnished to the same extent and in like manner as is afforded on other streets within the limits of the town of Glendo and without cost to the United States; (g) arranged or agreed to arrange for electric and naturalgas service to said camp and housing facilities and to the residents therein on the same terms and conditions as such service is furnished to other properties and residents in the town of Glendo; (h) agreed to the United States use of the sewerage system throughout its useful life to the extent of that capacity which is required to serve one hundred and fifty persons and agreed furthermore, that it will operate and maintain said system in conformity with standards agreed upon by the town and the Secretary (which standards shall be those generally employed for the maintenance of similar facilities) and in a manner permitting the satisfactory use of said capacity by the United States, all without cost to the United States. CHAPTER 644
AN ACT To authorize the conveyance of certain war housing projects to the city of Norfolk, Virginia.
Be it enacted by the Senate arid House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That, notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Housing and Home Finance Administrator is authorized to sell and convey at fair market value as determined by him on the basis of an appraisal made by an independent real estate expert to the city of Norfolk, Virginia, or to the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority, or to any agency or corporation established or sponsored in the public interest by such city, all of the right, title, and interest of the United States in and to W a r Housing Project VA-44075 and War Housing Project VA-44184, or either of them. Any sale pursuant to this authorization shall be on such terms and conditions as the Administrator shall determine, and the amount received for each project shall be reported by the Administrator to the Committee on Banking and Currency of the Senate and the Committee on Banking and Currency of the House of Representatives.
