4. Special Marking Regulreitients: Any movement, case, or dial provided for In this subpart, whether Imported separately or attached to an article provided for In this subpart, shall not be permitted to be entered unless conspicuously and Indelibly marked by cutting, die-slnking, engraving, or stamping, as specified below: (al Watch movements shall be marked on one or more of the bridges or top plates to show — (I) the name of the country of manufacture, ( I D the name of the manufacturer or purchaser, ( M l) tn Arabic numerals and In words, the number of Jewels, If any, serving a mechanical purpose as frlctional bearings; and llv) In Arabic numerals and In words, the number and classes of adjustments, or. If unadjusted, the word "unadjusted", (b) Clock movements shalI be marked on the most visible part of the front or back plate to show — (I) the name of the country of manufacture, (I!) the name of the manufacturer or purchaser, and ( H I) the number of Jewels, If any. I d Watch cases shall be marked o i the Inside or . outside of the back cover to show — (II the name of the country of manufacture, and (II) the name of the manufacturer or purchaser. (dl Clock cases and other cases provided for in this subpart shall be marked on the most visible part of the outside of the back to show the name of the country of manufacture; and (e) Dials shall be marked to show the name of the country of manufacture, which marking, if the dial Is imported attached to any of the articles provided for in this part, shall be placed on the face of the dial in such manner as not to be obscured by any part of the case.
