REQUEST FOE RETURN OF ENROLLED BILL (S. 3488)
Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives concurring), That the President of the United States be, and he is hereby, requested to return to the Senate the enrolled bill (S. 3488) entitled "An Act to grant the consent of Congress for the States of Virginia and Maryland and the District of Columbia to amend the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Regulation Compact to establish an organization empowered to provide transit facilities in the National Capital Region and for other purposes and to enact said amendment for the District of Columbia"; that upon its return, the action of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate in signing the said bill be deemed to be rescinded; and that in the reenrollment of said bill, the Secretary of the Senate be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to make the following change, viz.: I n section 3 of the engrossed bill, change subsection (a) to read: "To a,ssure uninterrupted progress in the development of the facilities authorized by the National Capital Transportation Act of 1965, the transfer of the functions and duties of the National Capital Transportation Agency (herein referred to as the Agency) to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (herein referred to as the Authority) as required by Section 301(b) of the National Capital Transportation Act of 1960 shall take place on September 30, 1967." "INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION: PAST, PRESENT, PROBLEMS AND P R O S P E C T S "
Resolved by the House of Representatives {the Senate concurring), That the document entitled "International Education: Past, Present, Problems and Prospects," a report by the Task Force on International Education of the Committee on Education and Labor, House of Representatives, be printed as a House document and that an additional seven thousand copies be printed for the use of the Committee on Education and Labor of the House of Representatives. HEARINGS AND COMMITTEE PRINT RELATING TO "WORLD WAR ON HUNGER" Resolved by the House of Representatives {the Senate concurring), That there shall be printed an additional one thousand copies of the hearings of the Committee on Agriculture entitled "World War on Hunger" parts 1, 2, and 3, together with a committee print entitled "World War on Hunger—Staff Summary of Testimony Presented by Public Witnesses at Hearings on World Food and Population Problems." All of such copies shall be for the use of said committee. P a s s e d October 17, 1966.
