TAX COURT OF THE UNITED STATES SALARIES AND EXPENSES

For necessary expenses, including contract stenographic reporting services, $2,750,000: Provided, That travel expenses of the judges shall be paid upon the written certificate of the judge. TITLE V—GENERAL PROVISIONS SEC. 501. No part of any appropriation contained in this Act shall remain available for obligation beyond the current fiscal year unless expressly so provided herein. SEC. 502. Positions in the agencies covered by this Act, whether financed from funds contained in this Act or from other sourceSj may be filled during the fiscal year 1970 without regard to the provisions of section 201 of Public Law 90-364j and such positions shall not be taken into consideration in determining numbers of employees under subsection (a) of that section or numbers of vacancies under subsection (b) of that section. SEC. 503. Section 5(b) of the Act entitled "An Act creating a commission to be known as the Commission on Obscenity and Pornography", approved October 3, 1967 (Public Law 90-100), as amended, is amended by striking out "July 31, 1970" and inserting in lieu thereof "September 30, 1970". This Act may be cited as the "Treasury, Post Office, and Executive Office Appropriation Act, 1970". Approved September 29, 1969.

To provide for the clisposition of a judgmeut recovered by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Flathead Reservation, Montana, in paragraph 11, docket numbered r>0233, United States Court of Claims, and for other purposes.

That the funds IConfederated appropriated to the credit of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai saiiVh and* Tribes of the Flathead Reservation, Montana, in satisfaction of a JJont'"^' Tribes, judgment awarded in paragraph 11 of the final decision in docket judgment funds. numbered 50233, United States Coiirt of Claims, including interest thereon, after payment of attorneys' fees and other litigation expenses, may be advanced, expended, invested or reinvested for any purposes that are authorized by the tribal governing body and approved by the Secretary of the Interior. SEC. 2. Any part of such funds that may be distributed to members of the tribes shall not be subject to Federal or State income tax. Approved September 29, 1969.
