Notes: The text is as produced by Gutenberg and seems very clean. Outstanding jobs are the coding of the endnotes, and a proofread against the original text mainly to see if the paragraph breaks are correct. The italicising of book titles in the original published text is somewhat eccentric. See note in Discussion below. Also this book is well-worth Wikifying

Notes about italicising this text. edit

In the book the names of newspapers eg The Times and ships eg Sirius are correctly printed in italics. The titles of some books are not but are within single quotes; other books have proper italics.
