Since the existing page is a redirect to another work titled The Descent of Man, I think it might be preferable to keep this page as a disambiguation page, then rename the work by Darwin to "The Descent of Man (Darwin)". —LarryGilbert (talk) 16:57, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Having "The Descent of Man" as a disambiguation page is an option that I can live with. Nevertheless, I'd think that Darwin's The Descent of Man is much more notable than the other work, so "The Descent of Man" could default to Darwin's work, while there could be "The Descent of Man (disambiguation)". --Dan Polansky (talk) 18:23, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
I do understand your reasoning, and I also know that it is commonly done this way on Wikipedia. But it looks like it would go against precedent on Wikisource. See for example The Raven. Arguably the work by Poe is the most well known, but it is still under The Raven (Poe), similarly to the other works. This is consistent with the style guideline on disambiguation pages (where I found this example). —LarryGilbert (talk) 19:53, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
You're right. Thanks for the link to The Raven and the link to the relevant section in the Style guide. --Dan Polansky (talk) 11:03, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
