Template:Transcluded OCR errors/doc

Usage

This maintenance template is to mark mainspace pages which have had unproofread text transcluded from the Page: namespace. This is typically done in the short term to aid organisation of complex or large works consisting of many separate parts while they are being worked on. The legitimate long-term uses of this template are few, and it should be used exceedingly sparingly. Any main namespace page transcluding this template for any length time can expect to receive periodic scrutiny, be proposed for deletion, and other maintenance processes. In short: this template is not a substitute for actually proofreading the pages in question!

Parameters

• page: The page (or the first page) that contains OCR errors that are transcluded.

This templates categorises pages to Category:Mainspace pages with transcluded OCR errors.

Progressing the work

The ideal solution to works in this state is to proofread the underlying Page: pages of the work.

• Issues with the structure of a work
  • {{Split}} when the work needs to be split up into sections or chapters.
  • {{Split-multiple}} when a page such as a collection of snippets needs to be split into various different works.
  • {{Move to subpage}} when a work should be a subpage of another work
  • {{Numbers}} when the work contains page breaks from the original work, but not other OCR errors.
  • {{Refs}} when the work has references in the text which should be converted to the Wiki ref format
  • {{Standardise}} when the work is complete, but doesn't conform with the style guidelines
• When work should be scan-backed:
  • {{Migrate to}} when the work is ostensibly complete, but needs to be migrated to an existing page scan of the same edition. If the scans aren't at Wikisource yet, or the edition is different, use {{scans available}}.
  • {{Scans available}} - when scans are available, but do not have an index page yet. Use {{migrate to}} if the scans exist at Wikisource, and the edition is the same
• Export issues
  • {{Export formatting needed}} when the work is unsuitable for export due to formatting issues
  • {{export to check}} when the work is believed ready for export but needs a further check
