A bit about me....

I was born Susan D. Chambless in Ft. Worth, Texas, but grew up in various places across the southeastern U. S., thanks to being a "preacher's kid". I am currently living in St. Louis, Missouri. I have been a voracious reader my whole life, and a sometime artist. Currently, I have added Fractal Art (as an obsession) and gardening to my interests. I have a M.A. in Computer Science, and bachelor's degrees in Biology and Chemistry. I was once an English major, and a Sociolgy minor, although I didn't get a degree. I have been working as a computer scientist in one capacity or another for the last 20+ years.

In high-school I had to write an essay about me, in which I described myself as a "Jack-of-all-Trades". I am amazed sometimes at the insight I had at that early age. I am still a "Jack-of-all-Trades", master of a few of them. Renaissance Woman, I guess.
