I'm unsure to understand your question, if you're asking if such page must be marked in some way (template or cat), I don't think it's needed. Phe (talk) 12:35, 11 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Transactions of the Geological Society edit

([1]), perhaps it's typo or I misunderstood what we said on my page but I thought we agreed to link to the plate description not to the plate itself directly, once the reader read the description, it can click on the plate name to go to the plate itself (which is on the same page, so no page reload is needed). Doing the reverse is more difficult because there is no link, and no easy way to link, from the plate to its description. Phe (talk) 15:13, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Index:Philosophical Transactions - Volume 001.djvu edit

Dunno if this has been discussed elsewhere but [2], alwaies and daies, I chose to use the same spelling as in the source, if you want modern spelling, it means also other words like saith, hath, serveth, publish'd, demonstrateth in the same page should be changed. What about keeping these ancient spelling all over the Phil. Transact.? For the long s, I chose to remove them, as it's not a spelling change but a typographic one. Phe (talk) 15:58, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I agree, lets keep the old spellings where they are used. It just so happens that on the page you mentioned the original text (as per scan) uses 'always' and 'days'. I did leave the old variants on other pages. And thanks for removing the long s: to me that's an aberration. If people want to see a long s then they can read from the scanned pages. Peter Mercator (talk) 21:27, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
*sighs*, I've so the habits to see alwaies and daies than I didn't notice it was written the other way. Apologies. Phe (talk) 07:14, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to events in June and July: bot, script, template, and Gadget makers wanted edit

I invite you to the yearly Berlin hackathon, 1-3 June. Registration is now open. If you need financial assistance or help with visa or hotel, then please register by May 1st and mention it in the registration form.

This is the premier event for the MediaWiki and Wikimedia technical community. We'll be hacking, designing, teaching, and socialising, primarily talking about ResourceLoader and Gadgets (extending functionality with JavaScript), the switch to Lua for templates, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Labs.

We want to bring 100-150 people together, including lots of people who have not attended such events before. User scripts, gadgets, API use, Toolserver, Wikimedia Labs, mobile, structured data, templates -- if you are into any of these things, we want you to come!

I also thought you might want to know about other upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.

Check out the the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC and our other events.

Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page at mediawiki.org. Sumanah (talk) 00:07, 9 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
