Userpage edit

TPM, I've given you a new user page as we discussed on IRC. It's just a couple lines and a couple boxes to give people an idea where to contact you and let them know that you are looking for advice. Of course, you should feel free to change it at you like. I'll give you some more thoughts here later. For now, read the links in the above welcome message and take a look at the Scriptorium which is sort of like the Wikisource version of the Village Pump but all on one page. You can also get there from the link on the sidebar that says Central discussion. Check out the Main Page and the Community Portal as well and look around a bit before you try to start editing. Things are a lot different here from Wikipedia. First tip: don't change misspellings, etc., that you find until you are sure of yourself because we want our texts to look exactly like the originals, typos and all! If you have questions, please ask.  :-)--Doug.(talk contribs) 19:21, 16 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

BTW, the system says you don't have a valid e-mail. Check your preferences and see if you got it saved. Thanks.--Doug.(talk contribs) 19:26, 16 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
OK, now it's good.--Doug.(talk contribs) 09:50, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Although we don't use userboxes as much on WS, I also added a babel template for you. I marked you as a native speaker of English, I'm not sure if that's correct or not though since you don't have an English level marked on enwp but I'm guessing since you didn't list English at all that it's your native language. Also, we don't have any -5 (professional proficiency) levels on the English Wikisource, so I marked you as hi-4 (near native). Again, please correct, change, etc. as you wish.--Doug.(talk contribs) 10:04, 17 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
