We decided to keep this work. It should have been de-tagged.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 21:16, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Zodiac Killer letters

This seems to be more appropriate at WP, since it is extremely small.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 21:04, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree; the content is a text, not information. The page title and dated header lead me to assume that the page will contain multiple "Zodiac Killer letters", so that it will not be so small in the future. // Pathoschild (editor / talk) 21:08, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There are 21 of them forthcoming, I'm editing them in one at a time kicks you impishly Sherurcij 21:09, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
:-) Alright, I was quick to add that tag. For some reason, I thought it was anonymously added. (TOTALLY didn't see who added it.) I withdraw the deletion request.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 21:13, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yay, recognition! Sherurcij 21:19, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Clan scripts, Edwin O'Malley

These are clearly not source texts. They're speedy-deletable under the (proposed) expanded deletion policy, but not under the current one. // Pathoschild (editor / talk) 02:18, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wakefield Regional Council - Green Paper

This work is not released under a free license. On the article's talk page, the contributor says "Extracts from Australian Government Green Paper from Green Paper and as such considered to be Template:Fairuse". // Pathoschild (editor / talk) 06:52, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

List of dead in Bolivian Gas War

Just like the list of dead Palestinians, this isn't a source and is user-compiled.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 23:07, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure it's user-compiled now that it has an external link, and I guess see w:Bolivian Gas War if that's any use. shrugs I'm not in favour of deleting if it's verifiable, but I definitely tend to err on the side of inclusion. Sherurcij 23:13, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The things is, though, if it's not published, then it doesn't fit under the Wikisource scope and isn't an appropriate article here.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 23:18, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Author:Thomas Dretart

Not appropriate author page. All content is non-English. It should be (if possible) moved to its subdomain.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 23:09, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Error!. Еще Error!

There is no actual text here. Only information about the text and an external link to the Russian text.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 23:17, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Islamic literature in Chinese

Just some non-English external links. --Pmsyyz 07:28, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The deletion tag was placed on 23 December 2005 by AllanHainey, but as far as I can tell it was never noted on this page. // Pathoschild (editor / talk) 02:08, 4 February 2006 (UTC) *Keep We have a letter written by him and there is a famous Spech I will try and find a copu of--BirgitteSB 17:29, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mirrored MetaWiki help pages

Of the 105 help pages on Wikisource (excluding redirects), 92 or 87.6% are exact mirrors of the MetaWiki's help pages. No-one in the various wikimedia IRC channels could explain why we should mirror them. These pages are not freely editable to Wikisourcers; a prominant notice on every page warns that edits will be reverted by the bot in the next update.

They're essentially useless to us. The large number of redlinks and inexistant templates makes them mostly ineffectual, they're by nature out-of-date, cannot be edited by Wikisourcers, and are essentially redundant with m:Help:Contents. Further, they're prime targets for vandalism; unwatched, some sections too complex for most users to factcheck.

I propose that they be deleted and User:Uncle G (bot owner) asked not to recreate them. There doesn't seem to be any links from Wikisource; if we find any, these can easily be pointed to the comprehensive original pages on the MetaWiki. // Pathoschild (editor / talk) 04:28, 5 February 2006 (UTC

Fully support deletion They are over-complicated, and much of the information is not relevant to WS needs. When this bot first ran it effectively deleted several halp pages which had been written on the same topics specifically for WS. So wasting my time :-( Apwoolrich 08:24, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I never really understood them, but I assumed it was policy from Meta to put them on all projects. I am going to ask Uncle G to explain why this was done before making a decision though--BirgitteSB 17:29, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I don't understand why we need them if Meta has it. We can always direct people to those pages if they need it, but having all these help pages talking about Templates and Categories, etc., I think are pointless. Besides, if I need to get help on something, I usually go to WP to get the answers, not Meta. Apwoolrich, do you know what pages were overwritten by Uncle G's bot? If we delete those, and if appropriate, we should restore the pages you created.—Zhaladshar (Talk) 21:52, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Uncle G's Bot overwrote a page I did on Special Characters. I will have a look at the Help page as listed on the Welcome template tomorrow and work through them identifying what others there are. Apwoolrich 22:57, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Consensus being to delete, I'll begin deleting them and correcting any incoming links. // Pathoschild (admin / talk) 18:09, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
    • I've deleted all the pages, dependant templates, redirects, and a large number of uncategorised pages. // Pathoschild (admin / talk) 02:48, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Margaret_Thatcher's_Resignation_as_Prime_Minister

There is no speech here, only a line of gibberish. I can't find an actual resignation speech for her, only either remarks made as she left Downing Street for the final time, or her resignation letter read out to Parliament. --stolen_flame 17:28, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
