A Dictionary of the Book of Mormon/Amoron
AMORON. A Nephite military officer or messenger, who conveyed to Mormon the tidings of the horrible atrocities committed by the Lamanites on the Nephite prisoners—men, women, and children—captured by them in the tower of Sherrizah. This event took place about the middle of the fourth century after Christ. Amoron's name is mentioned but once, in Mormon's second epistle to his son Moroni.
