CARTWRIGHT (SAMUEL), bookseller in London, (1) Bible in Duck Lane; (2) Hand and Bible in Ducke Lane. 1623–50. Brother of Richard Cartwright, and evidently in business with him. Took up his freedom October 16th, 1622. [Arber, iii. 685.] Amongst his publications was an English edition of Mercator's Atlas, of which he held a half share with Michael Sparke.
