XXII, 4) לסולייסה עקב ענוה עשת . . . מה that (fear of the Lord) which Visdom makes the crown of her head, Humility makes the imprint of her shoe; Yalk. Prov. 960 לרגלה סוליית ענוה עשתה (corr. acc.) סולם m. (b. h. סלם; סלל II) 1) ascent, ladder. B. Bath. III, 6, v. מצרי II. Gen. R. s. 68 בס׳ ויורדים עולים בו bo (Gen. XXVIII, 12), that is, they went up and down the ladder. Ib. סיני זה סלם sullam (whose numerical value is 110) is Sinai; a. fr. - צור של ססולמה the Ladder of lyre (Scala Tyriorum), a promontory south of Tyre. Y. Ab... Zar. I, 40a bot.; a. e. -- Pl. סולמות.
