*צרורתא f pl. (v. preced. art.) rough, stone-like. Snh. 96b, Ms. M., v. צינתא II.
צרח (b. h.; cmp. צרד) to scream, croak. Tosef. Sabb. VI (VII), 6 וכ׳ צרח וא'ל עורב קרא if a raven cries, and one says to him, croakk . . , his is a superstitious practice; Yalk. Lev. 587 צדה (corr. acc.); Sabb. 67b, v. עורבתא.
צרח I, צריח ch. same. Lam. R. to I, 3 אמר וצ׳ קם וכ׳ ליה (not וצריה) he stood up and screamed (after him), saying to him &c. *d אצריח to call togetlher; (of he bear) to growl. Targ. Prov. XXV III, 15 (Ms. מסריח; h. text שוקק). Itthpe. אצטרח to be called together, be summoned. Targ. O. a. Y. I Num. XXIV, 24.
צרח II (interch. with צרי, צרה) to be narrow; ל־ צ׳ to iworry; to be sorry, be afraid. Gen. R.s. 91 וערק ליה א׳ (not צצרת) he was afraid, and fed. Ib. וכ׳ מינך לי וצ׳ and I was afraid of thee, lest uhou kill me. Y. Ber. I, beg. 2a וכ׳ מקמי לון דצרי (ed. דצדי, corr. acc.) tthey are alraid of wild beasts. Esth. R. to I, 22; Lev. R. s. 12 וכ׳ לי דצ׳ (not. דצדי), v. נטורא. IIhpe. איצרח (איצרה), איצרי same. Gen. R. l. c. ומיצרה שאלתיו דלא מינה לי (some ed. ומיצרה) and I am sorry that I did not ask it; Y. Ber. VII, 11b לא מינך לי ומיצרי שלתיה (read; וכ׳ דלא מינה); Yalk. Gen. 148 מינך לי וצרו וכ׳ לאו (read; וצרי, a. corr. acc.; v. Rashi to Ber. 48a).
צרחא, צי׳ m. (preced.) anguish, דלבא צ׳ (prob.) angina pectoris; pain of the heartt (Rashi). Gitt. 69b לצ׳ דל׳ a remedy for &c. Ber. 40a דל׳ לצ׳ Ms. F. a. Ar. (ed. לחולשא; v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 400). Cmp. צידתא.
צרי I, צרא to split, tear. Targ. II Esth. IV, 1. Ab. Zar. 30a ואתי דצרי . . . חזייה (Ar. צאדי) saw a serpent split (cross the water, cmp. צצלח) and come on. - [Men. 37b דצרייה, v. צור II ch.]. PPa. צרי to burst. Ab. Zar. l. c. bot. זיקי דמצרי, v. טילא II. Itthpa. אצטרי, tthhpe. אצטרי to be split, burst. Ib. 65b זיקי נצצטרו דלא that the wine bags should not burst. צרי m. (b. h.; preced. art.) [that which runs through cracks,] resin, balsam (v. Gen. R. s. 9 1, quot. s. v. בלססם). - Ker. 6a, a. fr. הצ׳ an ingredient of frankincense. Sabb. 25b; Tosef. ib. II, 3 בצ׳ מדליקין אין you must not feed the Sabbath lamp with balsam; Y. ib. II, 4d צורי מדליקין אין.

יריד (צריר) m. (צרד) hard and dry matter. Hull. 36a; . ו Pes. 20a; Men. 102b מנחות של צ׳ (Ms. M. everyhere צריר, v. Rabb. D. S. a. ll. notes) the dry portion of meal offerings (not permeated with oil). Eduy. I, 8 צ׳ יאכל (early eds. צריד, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 9) it must be eaten dry (coarsely poundel without beingmoistened);Maas. Sh. I, 4.
