Concerning the Notes.

I have added some Notes to this Work, according to my idle Custom of doing Things by Fits. These Notes sometimes ramble too far from the Subject to be read with the Text. I have therefore thrown them all together at the Conclusion of the Discourse itself, in which I have done my best Endeavours to travel by the straitest Road. Those who may have Courage enough to peruse it a second time, may then amuse themselves by beating the Bushes, and endeavour to run over the Notes; it is no great Matter if others give themselves no manner of Trouble about them.
