Halliday, William Halliday, o.s. William Richard Cosway, of Marylebone, London, knight. Balliol Coll., matric. 25 June, 1846, aged 18; B.A. 1850, M.A. 1853, of Glenthorne, Devon, high sheriff 1882-3, and of Bilsington, Kent, bar.-at-law, Lincoln's Inn, 1858, assumed the surname of Halliday in lieu of Cosway 1872.
