Hopton, Rev. William, s. John Parsons, of Kemerton, co. Gloucester, arm. Trinity Coll., matric. 14 May, 1777, aged 26; B.C.L. 1783, of Kemerton Court, co. Gloucester, devisee of Canon Frome estates, assumed the name of Hopton in lieu of Parsons by royal licence 21 March, 1817, died 11 Jan., 1841, aged 91.
