Lyon, George Francis, created D.C.L. 15 June, 1825, a captain in the royal navy (son of Colonel Lyon, of Chichester), North African traveller, 1818 (Said-ben- Abdallah), accompanied Captain Parry in search of North-west Passage, 1821, he married, 5 Sep., 1825, Lucy Louisa, younger daughter of Lord Edward Fitzgerald, and died 8 Oct., 1832.
