Huang Zhen
(1909–1989)

A native of eastern Anhui province. Soldier in the Red Army (1931–?). Member of the Communist Party (from 1932). Minister of Culture. Ambassador to France (1964-67 & 1969-73), Hungary and Indonesia. Chief of the People's Republic of China Liaison Office in the United State (1973-77). Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Advisory Commission. His name is rendered as Huang Chen under the Wade-Giles system.
