Wilbur Coleman Tuttle
(1883–1969)

American pulp-fiction writer, and screenwriter for the silent films; also an artist and illustrator. He sold more than 1000 magazine stories and dozens of novels, almost all of which were westerns. Best remembered for his series featuring the characters Hashknife Hartley and Sleepy Stevens. Pen names: W. C. Tuttle
