Biographical note
editI'm not actually sure if Lord was a man or a woman. The first source I found was Partners in Wonder: Women and the Birth of Science Fiction, which lists Lord as a woman. A subsequent source, however, A Summer to Be: A Memoir by the Daughter of Hamlin Garland, describes Lord as a man, with details of his life. Online sources vary in describing Lord as a man or a woman. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 22:47, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- After further reading. Lord is a man; A Summer to Be is correct. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 23:27, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
- Another source: Hamlin Garland: A Life, mentions Mindret briefly (again, male). - AdamBMorgan (talk) 14:32, 16 February 2015 (UTC)
- Other bits and pieces:
- The Shudder Pulps by Robert Kenneth Jones (pp. 173–175).
- The Crime Films of Anthony Mann by Max Alvarez (pp. 71–73).
- Fancyclopedia III
