Letter to Donald Trump

edit

Would the letter to Donald Trump in 1987 fall under public domain? Nixon was not, as far as I'm aware, serving the federal government in any capacity at that time; from my understanding, this would make it a letter written by a private citizen, therefore covered by copyright. Would love to have this cleared up; didn't want to remove from the list before expressing my concerns. Thanks. Packer1028 (talk) 09:59, 5 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Any letter by Nixon at that date would be {{copyright author}} unless there is a release to the public domain. — billinghurst sDrewth 03:15, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
