Removed refdata tag edit

Hi all, I'm sorry for rather unilaterally removing the "refdata" tag here, but there are many mathematical works that are not merely lists of numbers, for which it would be good to have access to the original sources. There are many "source text" books for mathematics, e.g., covering Euclid, the Arabic algebraicists such as al-Khwarizmi and early modern mathematicians such as Euler and Gauss. It would be a pity if those texts couldn't be contributed to Wikisource. Does everyone agree, or am I missing something? WillowW 10:28, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's fine, so long as all the reference data in the category is correctly tagged. I'll make sure of that now. // [admin] Pathoschild (talk/map) 20:06, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Euclids' Elements edit

I know modern translations of Euclid are copyrighted, but how about the English version by Dionysius Lardner? It was published in 1828 and Lardner died in 1859, so it is the PD by miles. Also there is a scanned version at Google Books. Obviously we could (should?) have the original Greek as well, but I for one shall not be typing it out!
