CHAMBERLANE, ROBERT, D.D. (d. 1638), Franciscan friar, was a native of Ulster. He was at first a secular doctor of divinity at Salamanca, and afterwards a Franciscan Friar and lecturer in the Irish college at Louvain. Two manuscript treatises by him, ‘De Scientia Dei’ and ‘De futuris Continguntibus,’ were formerly preserved in the library of that college. He died on 11 June 1688.
