English: This portrait of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb mounted on a horse, and ready for battle, was originally produced in 1660-70. Aurangzeb was the son of Shah Jahan and brother of Dara Shikoh and reigned from 1658–1707. This image is taken from Johnson Album 3, 4. As featured in the British Library exhibition, Mughal India: Art, Culture and Empire.
