Description
English: Māori group performing a poi dance. The man is wearing a kiwi feather cloak of traditional Māori type. He is holding a mere weapon. The women are wearing short jackets which appear similar to the traditional cloaks, but may be of European origin. Their piupiu skirts are traditional, made from harakeke (New Zealand flax, Phormium tenax) with dyed designs. They are wearing them over what appear to be European-type underskirts.
