Summary

Description
English: Selby J. Day, WWI soldier in the Czechoslovak Legions and American oral surgeon
  • Caption reads as follows:
Captain Selby J. Day (left) and Captain Clifford S. Wheeler, both of New York, who fought with the Czechoslovak troops in Siberia for six months, have been detailed to Prague to serve as aides to General [Milan] Stefanic, Czech Minister of War. They enlisted in the naval reserve in October 1918 (U.S.) but were allowed to transfer to the Czech army. In that service they saw enough of Bolshevism to make them want to fight as long as may be necessary to stamp out the Red terror. They declare that fighting against the Bolshevists is far from Guerilla warfare, for the Bolshevists have plenty of money, adequate supplies and a well drilled army.
