Description
English: This sketch is from the book: "Mexico the way it was and is." (1847) It shows two women with one wearing a reboso, sometimes spelled "rebozo". A reboso is a long woven scarf, often of fine material, worn over the head and shoulders by Spanish and Mexican women which was a Spanish requirement for Mexican women when going to church that they use a reboso to cover their head.
