Encoding of notation edit

I recommend to follow the Wikipedia math MOS for typesetting math in this document. It has been mostly followed so far so this will ensure that formatting is consistent throughout the work. In particular:

  • Variables are italicized, x, y, θ.
    • Do not use {{greek}} for Greek letter variables, since they are being used as symbols rather than Greek-language text. This also includes constants like π.
  • Superscripts and subscripts should be done as ''m''2, or preferably using a template ''m''{{sup|2}}, rather than using Unicode built-in characters m²
  • Don't forget that the prime symbol is not an apostrophe and should not be treated as such.
  • Since this is a history of notation, some glyph forms will be impossible to display using Unicode, and should be rendered as an inline SVG image. ]
