- as amended on 1 December 1993 by the General Law Fourth Amendment Act, 1993.
- as amended on 1 March 1994 by the Guardianship Act, 1993.
- as amended on 1 April 1997 by the Justice Laws Rationalisation Act, 1996.
- as amended on 1 June 2006 by the National Credit Act, 2005.
- as amended on 17 February 2009 by the Judicial Matters Amendment Act, 2008, and currently in force.
