Bouverie, Rt. Hon. Edward Pleydell, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1838, M.P. Kilmarnock 1844-74, under-secretary of state home department 1850-2, chairman of ways and means 1853-5, president of Poor Law Board 1855-8, church estates commissioner 1860-5, J.P. Wilts and Berks, a student of the Inner Temple 10 July, 1837 (then aged 19), called to the bar 27 Jan., 1843 (2nd son of William, 3rd earl of Radnor); born 26 April, 1818; married 1 Nov., 1842, Elizabeth Anne, youngest dau. of Genl. Robert Balfour, of Balbirnie, co. Fife, and has issue (see Foster's Peerage).
