Hambro, (Baron) Charles Joseph Theophilus, lt.-col. Dorset yeomanry, late capt. 8th Dorset royal volunteers, M.P. Weymouth 1868-74, J.P., D.L. Dorset, high sheriff 1882, matric. Trin. Coll., Camb., lord of the manors and patron of Winterbourne, Stickland, Milton Abbas, and Stoke Wake, a student of the Inner Temple 20 April, 1857, called to the bar 30 April, 1860 (eldest son of Charles Joachim, Baron Hambro, of Roehampton, Surrey); born 2 Oct., 1834; married 15 Dec., 1857, Susan Amelia, dau. of the Ven. and Hon. Henry Reginald Yorke, archdeacon of Huntingdon (see Foster's Peerage, E. Hardwicke).
