seconded the nomination of Chaophraya Thammasakmontri.

Phraya Nitisatphaisan nominated Phraya Manopakonnitithada, who made a refusal, saying: "I wish for an opportunity to work for the people to the best of my ability. Being a mere Representative like this furnishes me with a better opportunity to contribute to the people than being the President, because the President has the duty to refrain from engaging in arguments at meetings."

The meeting eventually adopted a unanimous resolution in favour of Chaophraya Thammasakmontri without any objection. Phraya Phahonphonphayuhasena then invited Chaophraya Thammasakmontri to ascend the seat of the President.

Chaophraya Thammasakmontri stated: "I am greatly obliged to all the Representatives for specifically selecting me to preside over our meetings. I accept to hold the regular post of President of the meetings of the House of Representatives from now on, and by virtue of the duties of the President, I should not allow today's meeting to be delayed any longer. As the House requires a secretary for recording its meetings and for others and I find that Luang Praditmanutham has been doing this duty since the beginning of the meeting, if all of you have no objection, I would like to ask Luang Praditmanutham to further serve as our secretary."
