פכפך (v. פכך) to ooze, drip. Tosef. Succ. III, 3 [read;] מפספכין שמים מלמד מפכים מים והנה אומר אליעזר ר׳ וכ׳ הפך פי כמין ועולין R. El. .. says, And behold waters drippins (Es. XLVII, 2), this intimates that in the days to come water oozing out and rising, as if coming out of a flask, will come forth from under the threshold &c., v. סכה. Ib. 11 וכ׳ ועולה מפכפכת . . . הבאר היתה כך (Var. מפרפר) so the well; that travelled with Israel in the desert, resembling a rock of the size of a 'barah (כברה), bubbled forth and rose, travelling with them up mountains and down &c.

CXXXVI, 4; 1; 25) ובלא ניסין בלא . . הפרנסה מה פ׳ as the world cannot exist without sustenance (which the Lord provides), so it cannot exist without (daiily) signs and wonders.
