קירקנות, קור׳ f. pl. (=קירקרנ׳, v. preced.) clappers, a sort of castanets, used at wedding processions. Pesik. R. s. 43 ׳כו ׳יק םינעוט (ed. Fr. ׳וק) carrying castanets and marching before her.
קירקני m. pl. (v. preced. wds.) croaking. Ned. 51a ןמיאד ׳קבו . . . אניתש I shall drink wine tto thy father's dancing and thy mother's croaking (singing); [Rashi נ handing the cup].

Nah., p. 124b. Keth. 71b ׳כו היטושק הירמ תינהנ is benefited by the perfume of her toilet for thirty days (can be thirty days without perfumery). Ib. (in Chald. diction) ׳כו היטושקל והנלתד (read; והנתלתד) when she attached her vow of abstinence from perfuming herself to marital intercourse &c.; a. e.

קישויא m. (קשי) objection, argument. - Pl. קישויי. Y. Pes. VII, 35b top ׳ק ןיליאכ היל תיל (not איושיק) does not agree with those arguments (does not consider them convincing).

קישות I f. (cmp. כשות) [tufted fruit,] cucumber (sing. a. pl.). Tosef. Dem. V, 10 קקו ׳ק לכמ לטינ he takes tithe from each bunch of cucumbers. Ter. III, 1תאצמנו ׳ק םרותה ׳כו if one separates a cucumber for T'rumah, and it is found to be bitter. Tosef. ib. IV, 5 ׳כו ׳קקב רמ ךל ןיא there is nothing bitter in the cucumber except the central part (the central cucumber in the bunch ());a. e. - Pl. (v. supra). Ib. V, 14. ישןm. (נקש) one whose legs knock against each other, bandy-legged. Bekh. 45a; Tosef. ib. V, 9 ןשקיה (ed. Vien. ןשקעה, cmp. ).
קישקוש, קש׳m. (קשקש I) hoeing the ground(around olive trees). M. Kat. 3a ככו קו יודיעל ןינמ whence is it learned that hoeing of vines, and hoeing of olive trees, and clear- ing are forbidden in the Sabbatical year?
