שחיטה f. (b. h.; שחט II) cutting the throat, slaugh- tering according to the lhewish ritual. Sifra Tsav, ch..VIII, Par. 4 משיכה אלא ש׳ לשון אין by shahat drawing (of the knife) is meant, v. שחט I.
