Fig. (34) The pattern ready to cut out Now remove the traced piece, which you used as a guide in marking the neck outline, and fold the diagram along the line CD. (See Fig. 34.) Mark the seam allowance beyond the edges. There are tracers with two wheels which are excellent for this purpose. The wheels are placed a seam’s width apart, so when one wheel runs along the outer edge of the pattern, the other wheel marks the seam allowance an exactly even distance at all points.
