Muir, Esq., of the Civil Service, in Sanskrit verse, has been translated into Hindu and English ; gives a summary of Jewish history, the Prophecies relating to Christ's coming, the tenor of His" Life, Death, Miracles, Discourses, Doctrines, detailed in a narrative expository way, adapted to the native mind, and calculated to attract the attention of Hindus ; the Sanskrit edition of this has been widely circulated. Dr. Mill published a similar work in Sanskrit, thirty years ago. In this and Paul's Life Mr. Muir has taken up two Christian biogra- phies which arc much valued. In 1810, one Bam Bose,a Hindu, composed a LIFE OF CHRIST, in verse, which passed through two editions, and was translated into Uriya and Hindi.
