and hē hæfð genōh; ðām þe næfð, þæt hym þincð þæt hē hæbbe, þæt hym byð ætbrōdyn.[1]

30. And wurpað þone unnyttan þēowan on þā ūttran þȳstru; þǣr byð wōp and tōþa grīstbitung.[2]

Đys [godspel] sceal on mōnandæg on forman fæstendæg.

31. Witudlīce þonne mannes Sunu cymð on hys mægenþrymme, and ealle englas mid him, þonne sitt hē ofer hys mægenþrymmes setl.[3]

32. And ealle þēoda bēoþ tōforan hym gegaderude; and hē āsyndrað hī hym betwȳnan, swā swā sē hyrde āsyndraþ ðā scēp fram tyccenum;[4]

33. and hē gesett þā scēp on hys swīðran healfe, and þā tyccenu on hys wynsteran healfe.[5]

34. [Đonne cwið sē Cyning tō ðām þe on his swīðran healfe bēoð,] Cumað gē geblētsode mīnes Fæder, and onfōð þæt rīce þæt ēow gegearwod ys of middaneardes frymþe.[6]

35. Mē hingrode, and gē mē sealdon etan; mē þyrste, and gē mē sealdun drincan; ic wæs cuma, and gē mē in laþodon;[7]
