8. Þā gesāwun hys leorningcnihtas þæt, and wurdon gebolgene, and cwǣdon, Tō hwan ys þiss forspilled?[6]

9. Þis mihte bēon geseald tō myclum wurþe, and þearfum gedǣled.[7]

10. Þā sē Hǣlend hyt wiste, þā cwæð hē tō heom, Hwī synt gē grame þysum wīfe? witodlīce gōd weorc hēo worhte on me.[8]
