8. Đā fērdon hig hrædlīce fram þǣre byrgene mid ege and mid myclum gefēan, and urnon and cȳðdon hyt hys leorningcnihton.[2]

9. And efne þā cōm sē Hǣlynd ongēan hig, and cwæð, Hāle wese gē. Hig genēalǣhton, and genāmon hys fēt and tō him geēaðmēddon.[3]

10. Đā cwæð sē Hǣlynd tō heom, Ne ondrǣde gē ēow; farað, and cȳþað mīnum gebrōþrum þæt hig faron on Galileam, þǣr hig gesēoþ mē.[4]

11. Þā þā hig fērdon, þā cōmon sume þā weardas on þā ceastre, and cȳðdon þǣra sācerda ealdrum ealle þā ðing þe ðǣr gewordene wǣron.[5]

12. Đā gesamnudon þā ealdras hig, and worhtun gemōt, and sealdon þām ðegenum micyl feoh, and cwǣdon,[6]

13. Secgeað þæt hys leorningcnihtas cōmon nihtes, and forstǣlan hyne ðā wē slēpun.[7]
