Effect of non-registration under Act XX of 1847. 14. No suit or other civil proceeding instituted after the 30th of October, 1912, regarding infringement of copyright in any book the author whereof was of at the time of making the book resident in British India, or of any book first published in British India, shall be dismissed by reason only that the registration of such book had not been effected in accordance with the provisions of the Indian Copyright Act, 1847.XX of 1847.
15. The enactments mentioned in the Second Schedule are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the fourth column thereof.
