²³And He hath brought upon them their own iniquity,

And will cut them off in their own evil;

The Lord our God will cut them off.

95O come, let us sing unto the Lord;

Let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.

²Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving,

Let us shout for joy unto Him with psalms.

³For the Lord is a great God,

And a great King above all gods;

⁴In whose hand are the depths of the earth;

The heights of the mountains are His also.

⁵The sea is His, and He made it;

And His hands formed the dry land.

⁶O come, let us bow down and bend the knee;

Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;

⁷For He is our God,

And we are the people of His pasture, and the flock of His hand.

To-day, if ye would but hearken to His voice!

⁸'Harden not your heart, as at Meribah,

As in the day of Massah in the wilderness;

⁹When your fathers tried Me,

Proved Me, even though they saw My work.

¹⁰For forty years was I wearied with that generation,

And said: It is a people that do err in their heart,

And they have not known My ways;

¹¹Wherefore I swore in My wrath,

That they should not enter into My ^[1]rest.'

96O sing unto the Lord a new song;

Sing unto the Lord, all the earth.

²Sing unto the Lord, bless His name;

Proclaim His salvation from day to day.

³Declare His glory among the nations,

His marvellous works among all the peoples.

 

⁴For great is the Lord, and highly to be praised;

He is to be feared above all gods.

⁵For all the gods of the peoples are things of nought;

But the Lord made the heavens.

⁶Honour and majesty are before Him;

Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

 

⁷Ascribe unto the Lord, ye kindreds of the peoples,

Ascribe unto the Lord glory and strength.

⁸Ascribe unto the Lord the glory due unto His name;

Bring an offering, and come into His courts.

⁹O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness;

Tremble before Him, all the earth.

 

¹⁰Say among the nations: 'The Lord reigneth.'

The world also is established that it cannot be moved;

He will judge the peoples with equity.

¹¹Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;

¹²Let the field exult; and all that is therein;

Then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy;

¹³Before the Lord, for He is come;
