The World's Congress on Geology.—This auxiliary of the Columbian Exposition occupied the week August 21st to 26th, having a large attendance of geologists of the United States and Canada, with a few from other countries, though many papers were sent to the Congress by foreign geologists. The sessions were held only in the forenoons, leaving the afternoons for attending the World's Fair.
