In section six the words "and every master of a vessel, or any other person on board any ship liable to the performance of quarantine, who shall neglect or refuse to deliver to the person or persons appointed to superintend the quarantine all letters in his possession, shall forfeit twenty pounds."
3 & 4 Vict. c. 96. The Post Office (Duties) Act, 1840. In Schedule B. the words "expenses of quarantine."
17 & 18 Vict. c. 94. The Public Revenue and Consolidated Fund Charges Act, 1854. Section thirty-six from "and also except such letters" to "despatched in the usual manner by the post."
